The Role
As an Associate Insurance Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in our Sydney CBD office. You will have excellent technical legal skills, and will utilise your experience and skills to provide valuable legal expertise in our Commercial and Residential Property Damage team. You will be someone who is highly motivated and can work with considerable autonomy.
You will provide mentoring to the more junior lawyers and staff, and will fit in with our positive and supportive team culture. This is a full-time permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with high-profile clients and take your career to the next level.
Duties
- Communicating with clients both in writing and verbally;
- Identifying legal issues, briefing experts and analysing opinion;
- Preparing court documents, including evidence;
- Reviewing evidence and preparing advices on indemnity, liability and quantum;
- File management;
- Communicating with other practitioners;
- Appearing in Court, both Online and in-person;
- Supervising junior solicitors; and
- Briefing counsel.
