What excites me about motor vehicle litigation is that while the legal procedures followed are governed by the civil procedure rules applicable in each jurisdiction, which provides an element of structure and predictability to the work we do, no two claims are ever the same, and every claim has its own story. While on face value you may come across a claim that seems similar to previous matters, when you really delve deeper into the finer details, every claim has its own nuances and unique set of facts and evidence. What I believe is a crucial skill and often overlooked in motor as it is such high volume, fast paced work, is the ability to step back and consider each claim on its own merits and develop a tailored strategy to fit those facts in order to achieve the best possible outcome.
