Katie is a Senior Associate in our property team. Since her New Zealand admission in 2015, Katie has spent time in London working in the regulatory and public law team at a UK Top 100 firm and in Christchurch in the litigation team in one of New Zealand’s oldest-standing law firms with a focus on insurance and construction.
Katie has a wealth of experience in insurance coverage issues and construction disputes. She was involved in multiple precedent setting litigation following the Canterbury earthquake sequence in 2010 and 2011 and the Kaikoura earthquake in 2016.
In our property team, Katie assists insurer clients with recovery in property damage matters, including claims in tort, building legislation and consumer law legislation. She also assists private clients with construction issues, acting for both builders and property owners.
