Rachel is an insurance litigation lawyer at Ligeti Partners. Rachel started her legal career at Ligeti Partners as a legal secretary whilst undertaking her law degree. She subsequently moved into a law clerk role and was later promoted to a lawyer position after her admission to the New South Wales Supreme Court in 2021. Originally from Melbourne, Rachel has experience with litigation in the Victorian jurisdiction, but primarily specialises in the New South Wales jurisdiction since her move to Sydney in 2020.
Rachel works in the Motor Vehicle team, primarily handling disputes in both recovery and defended proceedings, as well as credit hire car and credit repair claims. Rachel also has experience in handling claims pertaining to contaminated fuel, agony of the moment and inevitable accident. She has strong advocacy skills, regularly representing her clients at interlocutory appearances and Small Claims Hearings in the Local Court of New South Wales.
Rachel is able to promptly identify issues and prides herself on providing proactive management of claims and litigation, striving to achieve a favourable and cost effective resolution for her clients at the earliest possible opportunity.
