We Ligeti Partners are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). At Ligeti Partners, the proper management of personal information is a high priority and fundamental to our professional code of conduct.

If Ligeti Partners determines that personal information is no longer needed for any purpose, Ligeti Partners will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify that personal information, unless the information is contained in a Commonwealth record or Ligeti Partners is required by law or a court/tribunal order to retain the information.

We may also collect and hold sensitive personal information if it is required by law or necessary in the provision of our legal services. If you do not provide us with personal information that we request, we may not be able to supply the relevant advice or service.
Ligeti Partners maintains industry standard technology and practices in respect of its information management obligations. The information management framework is supported by policies, processes and procedures, that are regularly reviewed, and updated as required.
Access to and Corrections of Personal Information
If any person wishes to access, review or request corrections to his or her personal information held by Ligeti Partners the person may do so at any time by contacting Ligeti Partners using the details below during normal business hours (8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday).
However, Ligeti Partners may refuse to provide any person with access to information where Ligeti Partners is permitted by law to withhold that information due to legal privilege. If we withhold that information, we will provide an explanation.
In addition to the Privacy Act, Ligeti Partners staff must adhere to the Insurance Code of Practice as regulated by the Insurance Council of Australia. Regular Privacy and Insurance Code of Conduct awareness training for Ligeti Partner staff is performed on a bi-annual basis or more regularly as legislative changes arise.
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy to comply with legislative updates or in order to reflect any changes that we make in the way that we collect or store your Personal Information.
Tracking
Our website is enabled with features that enable us to track your site usage of our website via Google Analytics. These features leave you anonymous and do not provide us with any personal information.
Queries and Complaints
If any person wishes to lodge a formal complaint about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles, please send the complaint, Attention: Managing Director via the contact details below. Ligeti Partners will review and respond to the complaint within 30 days after receipt of the complaint.
